Apartments in Rome

(Open: weekdays 9-14, holidays 9-13, closed Mondays) It is installed in the rooms of Paul II’s Apartment and in the adja­cent Cybo Apartment (as well as in part of the Palazzetto di Venezia). Charac­terized by the variety of material on exhibition (in part due to the varied tastes of the pope-collectors), the collections of Palazzo Venezia occupy a series of rooms: the Sala Regia, with the collections of arms and tapestries, the Sala delle Battaglie or of the Concistoro, the famous Sala del Mappamondo, the Hall oi the Labors oi Hercules, which contains wooden sculpture, and another six rooms full of fine collections of silver and ceramics.
